What the service does

JustPick helps you shortlist restaurants and agree on a group choice. Karen is an automated character and picker. Suggestions, ratings, hours, prices, dietary filters and estimated distances can be incomplete or out of date. Confirm information directly with a restaurant before travelling, ordering or relying on an allergy, dietary or accessibility claim. A suggested place is not a guarantee or a booking.

Place listings, photos and reviews are Google Maps content. The Google Terms of Service apply to that content and are incorporated into these terms. Required source and author credits remain with their content.

Fair use and rooms

Use lawful nicknames and share room links with people you trust. Do not post personal information about someone else, harassment, hate, unlawful or infringing content. Do not attack, scrape abusively, bypass limits or disrupt the service. You retain rights in your own content and permit us to process and show it only as needed to operate the room. Room choices expire after 24 hours. We may restrict abusive access or remove unlawful content; email us to report a concern or challenge a restriction.

The service is intended for adults. Under-18 users need a parent or guardian's agreement before sharing personal information. Rooms are not private messaging or secure communications tools.

External services and tips

Restaurant, delivery, maps, sharing and tip links open independent services. Their prices, availability, terms and privacy rules apply. JustPick does not take restaurant orders or payments. A voluntary tip through the external tip platform does not buy access, influence results or create a paid JustPick subscription.

Availability and responsibility

We use reasonable care, but cannot promise continuous availability, perfect accuracy or that a particular restaurant will be shown. We may change or suspend features with reasonable notice where practical; urgent safety, legal or abuse issues may require immediate action.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for ordinary direct financial loss from use of this free service is limited to R500. This limit and any exclusion of loss do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, a breach of payment-security duties, or any liability or consumer, privacy or other statutory right that cannot lawfully be limited. We do not exclude remedies required by the Consumer Protection Act, POPIA or other applicable law.

We do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential loss where the law permits this exclusion. Nothing in these terms prevents you from enforcing a non-excludable right.

Changes, law and disputes

South African law applies. Courts with lawful jurisdiction remain available. We will give reasonable notice on the site before material terms changes take effect; changes do not remove accrued rights. Contact us first at [email protected] to try to resolve a concern. You may also contact the National Consumer Commission, Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, or Information Regulator where appropriate.
